WiCkED GAMES

I left my girl back home, I don't love her no more
And she'll never f*cking know that, these f*cking eyes that I'm staring at
Let me see that ass, look at all this cash
And I've emptied out my cards too
Now I'm f*cking leaning on that

Bring your love baby I can bring my shame
Bring the drugs baby I can bring my pain
I got my heart right here, I got my scars right here
Bring the cups baby I can bring the drink
Bring your body baby I can bring you fame

That's my motherf*cking word too
Just let me motherf*cking love you

Listen ma, I'll give you all I got
Give me all of this, I mean confidence in myself
Listen ma, I'll give you all of me
Give me all of it, I need all of it to myself

So tell me you love me
Only for tonight
Only for tonight
Even though you don't love me

Just tell me you love me
I'll give you all of me, I'll give you all of me
Even though you don't love me

Let me see you dance
I love to watch you dance

Take you down another level
Get you dancing with the devil
Take a shot of this
But I'm warning you
I'm on that shit that you can't smell baby
So, put down your perfume

Bring your love baby I can bring my shame
Bring the drugs baby I can bring my pain
I got my heart right here, I got my scars right here
Bring the cups baby I can bring the drink
Bring your body baby I can bring you fame

That's my motherf*cking word too
So let me motherf*cking love you

Listen ma, I'll give you all I got
Give me all of this, I mean confidence in myself
Listen ma, I'll give you all of me
Give me all of it, I need all of it to myself
I need all of it
So tell me you love me
Only for tonight
Only for tonight
Even though you don't love me
Oh, oh
Just tell me you love me
I'll give you all of me, I'll give you all of me
Even though you don't love me

SiNNER

If I could just hide

The sinner inside

And keep him denied

How sweet life would be

If I could be free

From the sinner in me

I'll never be a saint

That's not a picture that your memory paints

I'm not renowned for my patience

I'm not renowned for my restraint

But you're always around

You can always be found

To pick me up when I'm on the ground

If I could just hide

The sinner inside

And keep him denied

How sweet life would be

If I could be free

From the sinner in me

I'm still recovering

Still getting over all the suffering

More known for my anger

Than for any other thing

But you've always tried

To be by my side

And catch my fall when I start to slide

If I could just hide

The sinner inside

And keep him denied

How sweet life would be

If I could be free

From the sinner in me

RAPHAEL SAADiQ - BiG EASY

MTV UNPLUGGED presents: LiL WAYNE

Lil Wayne becomes the first rapper in 10 years to perform at MTV’s Unplugged, first since Jay-Z (who’s Unplugged album is one of my favorite albums). He went through a ton of joints, moreso through the stuff he has created in the past five years from Tha Carter III, Rebirth, & Tha Carter IV. Rap-Up has the entire set list, which I will spoil below..

Dressed casually in a white tee, jeans, and red fitted cap, Weezy opened with “3 Peat” and “Mr. Carter,” before giving new life to “A Milli” with his band. Playaz Circle’s Tity Boi joined him for “Duffle Bag Boy” and Young Money’s own Shanell guested on Rebirth‘s “Running” and “Prom Queen.”

The New Orleans native ventured into holy hip-hop territory with an acoustic cover of Tupac Shakur’s “Hail Mary,” his answer to those who keep asking about his recent jail experience.

After performing more current hits including “Drop the World” and the chart-topping “Lollipop,” he debuted a new song from Tha Carter IV called “Nightmares of the Bottom,” part of which he has previewed on his “I Am Still Music” tour. “I’m sleeping at the top, nightmares of the bottom/ Everybody want to be fly till you swat them,” rapped Tunechi.

The memorable evening came to a close with a rousing rendition of “6 Foot 7 Foot,” with Young Money’s rising star Cory Gunz storming the stage to spit his rapid-fire verse alongside his mentor.

NEW tRACk: tHE WEEKND - tHE BiRDS (PARt 1)

Everything Abel Tesfaye (you know him as The Weeknd, pronounced ‘weakened’ and not ‘weekend’ for those misinformed) brings to the overcrowded table right now is absolutely one step ahead of his peers: from attitude and image to production, melodies, and marketing. ‘The Birds (Part 1)’ is no exception despite being his most digestible radio track yet, while still retaining a rhythmic, pause-and-start swag we’re just not getting from mainstream most if not all R&B cookie-cutters today.

Believe the buzz, as we look forward to the scheduled mixtape-albums Thursday (Summer) and Echoes of Silence (Autumn) following up on the brilliant debut, House Of Ballons.

NiKKA COStA

Nikka Costa has been around for way over 10 years now, yet she remains very much an ‘unknown’ to many people. Never quite understood what it was about her that prevented her from ‘blowing up’ – her music has always been pretty consistent. Blending Funk, Blues & Soul, she’s got a killer voice, distinct style and a lot of cool (not to mention, her Godfather was Frank Sinatra!) and yet with early support from Prince and Lenny Kravitz she’s never really connected with the mainstream – as I, and I’m sure many of you felt she deserved. Her most well known song ‘Like a Feather’ was released way back in 2001!

She’s back now, with 2 brand new songs ‘Head First’ and 'Nylons In A Rip" taken off her new album Pro*Whoa. This track is exactly why I stay in tune with this lady – her vocals sound honey laced and attached to that killer bassline and Funk instrumental – it’s a win. Love her.

SMiLE

If Summer had a sound, I reckon it would sound a little like this. The butter laced vocals of Jay Kay, the Funk infused instrumentartion of his band – it very rarely fails. This brand new track is being offered up for free (download via the player below) – what a way to start the weekend.

‘Smile’ today.

the Weeknd

The Weeknd is a Toronto-based singer named Abel Tesfaye. Songs recorded under 'The Weeknd' name first leaked in late 2010, though the identity of the individual behind the project was initially unknown. The Weeknd released a nine-song album, House Of Ballons, on 21 March 2011. The album is a part of a trilogy which includes Thursday and Echoes of Silence, to be released in the summer and autumn respectively.

In late 2010, The Weeknd uploaded three songs - "What You Need", "Loft Music" and "The Morning" - to his YouTube channel. A nine-track album titled House of Balloons was digitally released on 21 March 2011 through the artist's official website. Artist Drake has been partly credited for generating public awareness for The Weeknd, after he quoted a line from the track "Wicked Games" via Twitter and linked to the singer's music on his website. In a review of the House of Balloons album, Pitchfork Media's Joe Colly wrote thatthese weird, "all the thematic and sonic pieces fit together - morning-after tales of lust, hurt, and over-indulgence ... are matched by this incredibly lush, downcast music. It's hard to think of a record that so fully embodies such a specific nocturnal quality." The album isdi "brilliant, disturbing, and not safe for work," calling the song "Loft Music" a song that is "so unsafe it should come with a child-proof cap, so dirty that you’ll feel guilty the next time you see your wife." "It's patient, often gorgeous, and consistently louche ... with the sort of blown-out underbelly and echo-laden crooning that has already made Drake's less-than-a-year-old Thank Me Later such an influential guidepost." Maegan McGregor of Exclaim! praised the album: "Packed full of sex, drugs and some downright killer production, this easily stands as one of the year's best debuts so far, hipster, top 40 or otherwise." Sputnik Music's Tyler Fisher said that "despite being a free mixtape, House of Balloons feels like a true album, a true labor of love."

The mystery surrounding The Weeknd is starting to dissipate. He’s still mysterious, but he’s gone from a complete question mark to a human being who has shadows and footprints. Before he was called The Weeknd, Tesfaye was part of a production team called The Noise. These tracks are from those days
